Step 3 · Inspect and Replace O-rings and Seat Washer

This is the step people usually slow down on. Go finger-tight first, then a quarter turn. No rush — replay the clip whenever it helps.

For compression faucets, use a wrench to carefully remove the packing nut. Inspect the O-rings and seat washer for wear and tear. Replace any damaged components with new ones from a faucet repair kit. Reassemble the faucet, following the steps in reverse order. Tighten all connections securely.
