Step 3 · Remove the Old Faucet Valve

This is the step most people slow down on. Take it one move at a time — there’s no rush, and you can rewind the clip as many times as you need.

Remove the escutcheon plate to access the valve. Unscrew the retaining nut holding the valve in place and carefully pull out the old valve. If the nut is stubborn, use pliers or an adjustable wrench.
