This is the step people usually slow down on. Go finger-tight first, then a quarter turn. No rush — replay the clip whenever it helps.

Accurately mark the showerhead, valve, and drain positions on the wall and floor. Measure and record the showerhead height, hot and cold water supply line locations for the valve, and the drain's center point. Consider using a level for precise vertical measurements.
