to be heat taped, so what's the problem with your pipe, so you totally frozen, you have no water at all, well we're going to look first off probably and this is really a suspect area because this is exposed, okay, no water, mainline usually means, is mainline is frozen, so one thing we're going to want to check, make sure your heat tape is plugged in, hopefully that's all it is, maybe it just wasn't plugged in for the season, first freeze here, we've got frozen, also check and make sure, even if it is plugged in, make sure that outlet's working, plug something in there, turn it on, make sure the outlet's working, okay, so say for instance we've plugged that in, everything's plugged in and working, as far as we've made sure the outlet's working, but still the heat tape is not warm, that's going to mean that heat tape needs to be replaced on this entire run here, not any farther up, but right there, I will try and concentrate myself mostly on the areas around the meter, around this area right here that comes out of the well, a lot of times we'll have problems because those aren't well insulated, and right here where this section that goes into the home, sometimes the heat tape will stop right here, and this little spot right here will be frozen, so apply some heat there, a lot of times I'll also try to turn one of these valves, and if I can turn them freely, usually that means that that area doesn't have ice in it, if I can't really close it or turn it, that usually means that that area is frozen, and I'll concentrate some of my heat there, most often times in these general areas like that, so say for instance you have a different problem, you have cold water, but no hot water, well we can see that the water runs in here, breaks off, goes to all the colds, breaks off and goes into the water heater, and then comes out hot and into a tea, so if I have cold water but no hot water, that would mean that all of these things here are fine, all of this is fine, all of the cold water lines are fine, so I would be concentrating on where it breaks off from the cold and into the water heater, and then off and breaks into the tea here, okay, so I would concentrate my heat in those general areas, meaning leave this alone if you have cold water, if you have cold water, all of this is good, okay, so say for instance I have water in this end of the house, but not water in this end of the house, still all of this is good, water heater is good, those teas are good, but most…
