Step 6 · Ensure Proper Airflow Through Vents

Walk through your home and ensure that no furniture, rugs, or other items are blocking any of the air supply vents (where cool air comes out) or return air vents (where air is drawn back into the system). All vents should be open to allow for efficient air circulation. Close vents in rooms that are not regularly used only if recommended by your HVAC manufacturer, as closing too many can strain the system.
