Step 3 · Access the Dishwasher Interior

Open the dishwasher door. Most dishwashers have a toe kick panel or a lower access panel at the very bottom. This panel is usually held in place by screws or clips. Remove these fasteners to detach the panel and gain access to the components underneath, such as the water inlet valve and drain pump.
