Step 3 · Remove the cartridge

This is the step most people slow down on. Take it one move at a time — there’s no rush, and you can rewind the clip as many times as you need.

Use a cartridge puller tool or pliers to remove the retaining clip or nut holding the cartridge in place. Pull out the old cartridge.
