Step 3 · Inspecting Exposed Pipes for Leaks and Corrosion

This is the step people usually slow down on. Go finger-tight first, then a quarter turn. No rush — replay the clip whenever it helps.

Systematically examine all exposed pipes, focusing on areas like under sinks and in basements. Look for water stains, dripping water, or signs of corrosion. Pay particular attention to joints and connections, as these are common points of failure. If you find a leak, try to pinpoint its exact location before attempting any repairs.
