Step 2 · Remove the Shower Handle and Escutcheon

This is the step people usually slow down on. Go finger-tight first, then a quarter turn. No rush — replay the clip whenever it helps.

Carefully remove the existing shower handle and escutcheon plate. Use a screwdriver to loosen any screws securing them. A putty knife might be needed to break any stubborn silicone sealant.
