Step 1 · Turn Off the Shower's Water Supply

Before starting, shut off the water supply to your shower. Locate the shut-off valves; these are usually near the shower itself or in your home's main water supply panel. Turn the valves clockwise to stop the water flow completely. Always double-check that the water is off by trying another faucet.
