Step 1 · Turn Off the Water Supply

Before you begin, safety first! Turn off the water supply to the faucet. Locate the shut-off valves under the sink (usually one for hot and one for cold water). Turn the valves clockwise until completely closed. If you can't find the valves or are unsure, turn off the main water supply to your house.
