Step 2 · Disassemble the Faucet Handle

This is the step people usually slow down on. Go finger-tight first, then a quarter turn. No rush — replay the clip whenever it helps.

Protect your sink! Plug the drain to prevent losing small parts. Carefully disassemble the faucet handle. Start by removing any decorative caps using your fingers or a small flat-head screwdriver. Then, locate and remove the screw(s) holding the handle in place, using the appropriate screwdriver. Some handles might simply pull off after cap removal.
