Step 4 · Install the New Shower Trim

This is the step people usually slow down on. Go finger-tight first, then a quarter turn. No rush — replay the clip whenever it helps.

Install the new trim following the manufacturer's instructions. This usually involves attaching the new valve trim plate, then installing the new handles and securing them.
