Install and Connect Solar Panels — Solar Panel Installation
Part of project
Residential Solar Panel System · Step 4 of 7
In this video
Carefully transport the solar panels from the delivery vehicle to the roof using team lifting and a ladder or pulley system. Once on the roof, each panel is individually lifted and positioned onto the pre-installed rails. The panels are then secured to the rails using specialized end clamps and mid clamps, ensuring they are tightly fastened. The DC cables from each solar panel are connected to their corresponding micro-inverter. The AC cables from the micro-inverters are then connected to the Q-cable (AC branch cable) using secure, polarity-specific connectors. All cables are neatly routed and secured to the rails using cable clips and electrical tape to prevent snagging or damage. This process is repeated for all panels on both the south and west elevations of the roof.
