After all panels are installed and bonded to the racking, the entire metallic structure (panel frames, Unistrut rails, inverter enclosures) must be interconnected with a continuous equipment grounding conductor. This conductor is then connected to a main grounding electrode (e.g., a copper ground rod or a UFER ground) buried in the earth. While the video doesn't show the explicit installation of the grounding electrode, this step is fundamental to a safe and code-compliant solar electrical system. The grounding system's purpose is to safely dissipate electrical faults and lightning strikes into the earth, protecting personnel and equipment.
