Step 5 · Connect Electrical Power to the Outdoor Unit

Turn off the main power supply to the area where you will be working. Run a dedicated electrical circuit from your main electrical panel to the outdoor unit location, using appropriate gauge wire and a properly rated circuit breaker. Connect the power wiring to the disconnect switch near the outdoor unit, and then to the unit itself, following the manufacturer's wiring diagram. Ensure all connections are secure and watertight.
