Step 9 · Perform System Startup and Testing

Once all connections are made and verified, turn on the main power to both the indoor and outdoor units. Set your thermostat to cool mode and the desired temperature. Observe the system for initial startup. Monitor the indoor and outdoor unit operation, listening for unusual noises. Check for proper airflow from the supply vents and verify that cool air is being delivered. Use the manifold gauges to check operating pressures and temperatures to ensure they are within the manufacturer's specifications.
