Step 2 · Remove the Faucet Handles

This is the step people usually slow down on. Go finger-tight first, then a quarter turn. No rush — replay the clip whenever it helps.

Carefully remove the shower faucet handles. Most handles have screws hidden under decorative caps. Use a small flat-head screwdriver to gently pry off the cap, then remove the screws underneath. Some handles may have a set screw underneath the handle; access this using the appropriate screwdriver. Once the screws are removed, pull off the handles to expose the internal components.
